Tuition & Fees

Registration & Free Trial classes

  • Registration is completed through our Studio Director system, click here to access [+]. There is one registration from August-May. You will need to register separately for classes in June and July. 

  • Students are welcome to take one free trial class before registering to see if the class is a good fit. Students can schedule a free trial class by emailing the office, or by filling out an envelope when they arrive at the studio. Envelopes can be placed in the lockbox when filled out. 

  • There is a one time annual $75/student registration fee to cover administrative costs for the continued bookkeeping of the program. This is an annual fee that covers September through the following August. 

  • The Registration Fee will be prorate to $40 in March. 

Tuition

DALA charges tuition per registered hour of dance per family (see chart below).

Dance Arts Los Alamos :: Rates
  • Tuition is charged monthly to your account on the 1st of the month (or the Monday thereafter) with a 10 day grace period.

  • Families may make payments online through the payment portal found on Studio Director. Checks or cash are also accepted by mail or dropped to either studio lock box. 

  • Please include the name of your dancer with all payments (memo of the check, outside of the envelope with cash) in order to appropriate funds to the correct account.

  • All tuition payments made after the 10th of the month will incur a $15 late fee. All accounts must be paid in full by the end of each semester. 

  • Tuition – Flamenco classes: Each student enrolled in a flamenco class will owe a $150 Flamenco Tuition Fee (per student per semester) paid at the beginning of each semester. This fee covers the bi-weekly structure of the class. Performance/Costume Fees will be paid in addition to this Flamenco Fee. 

  • Tuition – Homeschool classes: Each student enrolled in a Homeschool class will owe a $5 Tuition Fee (per student per class) paid prior to each class. This fee covers the tuition of the class. You may register for the whole semester or simply for the dates that work for your schedule. Each week will cover a rotating genre of dance.There must be a minimum of 5 dancers enrolled in order to run each of the Homeschool classes. 

Costume and Performance Fees

  • DALA charges Costume and Performance Fees for our various performances throughout the year. These charges will be reflected in your monthly billing statement during the month they are charged.  All performances will have an opt-in and opt-out date in which you can opt-out of being charged the fee. 

    • WinterFest Production – December – PERFORMANCE FEE AT AUDITIONS

    • Mixed Repertoire Showcase – December – COSTUME FEE CHARGED IN OCT

    • International Ballet Competition – January/February – SEE FEES PACKET

    • Spring Dance Concert – April/May – COSTUME FEE CHARGED IN FEB

    • Spring Ballet Production – April/May – PERFORMANCE FEE AT AUDITIONS

    • Young Children’s Showcase – April/May – COSTUME FEE CHARGED IN FEB

  • All Costume and Performance Fee payments made after the 10th of the month will incur a $15 late fee. Students will not receive their costume until their fee has been paid in full. All accounts must be paid in full by the end of each semester. 

Refunds

  • Tuition and fees are non-refundable. DALA does not prorate tuition if a student chooses to leave a class before it has ended. However, tuition may be prorated for students who enroll after the start of a semester.

  • If a student misses a class, they may attend a make-up class within the same semester in a class at the same or lower level, subject to class availability and DALA’s make-up class policy.

Make Up Class Policy

  • Students are welcome to attend make-up classes for any regularly scheduled class they miss including snow days or other unexpected cancellations.

    • Make-up classes must be completed within the same semester as the missed class.

    • Students may attend any class at their current level or a lower level for their make-up.

    • Make-up classes are intended for regularly scheduled classes only and may not be used for workshops, intensives, master classes, special events, or other non-standard programming.

    • Make-up classes can be scheduled online ahead of time or by filling out a make up class envelope when you arrive for class. Envelopes can be placed in the lockbox when filled out. 

    • Unused make-up classes expire at the end of the semester and do not carry over to future semesters.

Drop In class Rates

  • If you are unable to register for a class, but would like to attend occasionally, you are welcome to attend with a Drop-In Class rate. We typically only recommend Drop-In Classes for our Adult students or returning Alumni.

  • You will need to create an account through our registration portal so that we have your waiver on file. When you arrive for class, please fill out a Drop-In Envelope and place it in the payment box prior to class even if you have already scheduled a Drop-In Class through your registration portal.     • Drop-In Rates:

    • 45+ minute classes have a Drop-In Class Rate of $25/class

    • 30 minute classes have a Drop-In Class Rate of $15/class

Summer Tuition and Fees 

  • There is no registration fee for summer classes. 

  • Summer Tuition will vary depending on the type of class you register for. 

  • Weekly classes are the only classes eligible for free trial classes or make up classes. Camps, Intensives, and Workshops are by registration only.
